Gareth Averill is a Dublin-based composer & sound-designer. Specialising in sound. Gareth graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree from the National Film School. Whilst working mainly in commercials, film & tv, he also creates audio/visual installations, facilitates an experimental sound workshop for youths & operates out of his own studio producing his own music.

Recent commercial work has been shown at the Cannes YDA and in Australian, Swiss & UK markets. In 2010, he exhibited an interactive, generative A/V installation in Rhode Island. Gareth is also involved in the Irish music scene playing live drums & electronics with Irish bands such as Jape, David Kitt, Valerie Francis, Primordial and Solar Bears.
